The US economy expanded at an annualized rate of 3.2% in the third quarter, according to the latest estimate released by the US Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) on Thursday.
This figure was higher than the prior estimate and the market consensus of 2.9%.
“The updated estimates principally reflected increased adjustments to consumer expenditure and nonresidential fixed investment, which were offset in part by a downward revision to private inventory investment,” the BEA stated in its release.
