Francois Villeroy de Galhau, French central bank governor and member of the European Central Bank’s (ECB) Governing Council, stated on Wednesday that the central bank should try to reach the terminal rate by the summer.
“Rates will have to be raised more in the coming months.”
“The ECB must be cautious about the pace of rate rises.”
“French inflation is projected to have peaked in the first half of 2023 and should decline to 4% by the end of the year.”
