Despite recent tensions over Taiwan, new Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang praised Americans, implying that relations between the world’s two largest economies may be mending.
“I’ve been deeply pleased by so many hardworking, polite, and bright Americans I’ve met,” Qin tweeted on Tuesday.
“I made numerous acquaintances across the United States,” Qin continued.
