According to the most recent UK industrial and manufacturing production figures released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) on Monday, the industrial sector appears to have maintained its recovery momentum in October.
While overall industrial output came in at 0% vs. -0.3% predicted and 0.2% previous, manufacturing output came in at 0.7% MoM in October versus -0.1% predictions and 0% observed in September.
The UK manufacturing production data for October came in at -4.6% on an annualized basis, falling short of forecasts for a -6.3% decrease.
In the tenth month of the year, total industrial output decreased by 2.4% compared to a predicted -4.2% score and a previous -3.1% print.
Separately, the figures for the UK’s goods trade balance were released. In October, they came in at GBP-14.476 billion, falling short of predictions of GBP-20.894 billion and GBP-15.656 billion. The
