According to data released on Wednesday jointly by the US Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, sales of new single-family homes increased by 7.5% in October to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 632,000.
This data came in significantly better than the market consensus for a decline of 3.8% and followed September’s contraction of 11%.
The US Dollar was unable to find demand after receiving strong selling pressure due to the disappointing PMI figures.
The US Dollar Index was at 106.55 as of the time of writing, down 0.55% on the day.
