The public’s expectations for inflation in Britain for the upcoming year decreased somewhat, according to the Bank of England (BoE)/Ipsos’ quarterly survey, which was released on Friday.
The median public inflation expectation for the upcoming year is 4.8% in November compared to 4.9% in August.
Public anticipation of inflation for the next two years was 3.4% in November against 3.2% in August.
Public expectation of inflation over the next five years is 3.3% on average, up from 3.1% in August.
Net public satisfaction with the BoE’s control of inflation dropped from -7 in August to -12 in November.
